Dr.
Shoshanna helps an
individual integrate all
aspects of themselves.
Along with dealing with
the past, we focus upon
the ways in which the
client presently perceives
and utilizes past
experiences. We discover
the lessons to be
learned from past
problems, and new ways of
responding now.
Difficult
relationships are also
explored and new ways of
perceiving and handling
them. In this process
one's sense of oneself
expands and most of the
time guilt and other forms
of self punishment and
restrictions dissolve.
Much
of present day depression,
anxiety and negativity
come from a re-play of old
fears, expectations and
patterns. My approach
teaches the client how to
release negativity, take
charge of their focus and
see what is positive
and life enhancing
that they can utilize now.
The client establishes a
new sense of themselves
and others, learns the art
of forgiveness and finds
entirely new ways of
relating with on-going
life circumstances that
present themselves.
When
we learn how to
understand, forgive and
release negativity, to
stay in the present
mindfully, we then get in
touch with our vast inner
resources. Once this
happens, our ability to
live centered and
fulfilling lives increases
day by day.
How
long does treatment take?
Therapy
can be short or long term.
It can be focused upon
specific problems and
needs, or it can take some
time to explore different
aspects of the person's
life, to uncover what is
causing depression,
anxiety or
dissatisfaction, and to
help the individual
discover his/her own
strengths, what his/her
needs are and how to best
have them met.
A
therapy session lasts one
hour. Depending upon the
situation, needs and type
of therapy, sometimes
exercises are given to the
client to work on
during the week. |
